LCN Door Closers

FASS Security has a wide range of LCN door closers. LCN founded in 1926 is probably the leading door closer manufacturer in the USA. LCN closers have long been the benchmark for durability and quality, all LCN manual closers come with a 10 year warranty as standard.

LCN closers are manufactured from precision machined cast iron cylinders with forged iron pistons which work together because of the compatibility of their basic elements. Heat treated pinions and pistons spread the load over a large gear tooth system to better handle the wear and stress of millions of operating cycles. Upper and lower needle (pinion) bearings provide support and load capacity required by the closer. LCN extensively use forged steel main arms which are superior to stamped arms on many budget closers.

LCN closers do not have overload valves. The reason for this is simple, overload valves (often used as a promotional feature by many manufacturers) are designed to protect the door closer from damage as opposed to protecting the door it is mounted on and the pedestrian walking through it.
